Hazelton Twp. is a thirty-eight square mile township located in the Northeast corner of Shiawassee County, off of M13 approximately 35 minutes northwest of Flint. It borders Genesee and Saginaw counties. The township is home to the Village of New Lothrop. 26 members make up the department
Hazelton Township Fire Department History
The Hazelton Twp. Fire Department was established in 1951 as the New Lothrop Fire Department. Shown in photo is the first purchased pumper and first ever department Chief Leonard Birchmeier (pictured to the left).
